SOUTH FIELD LIGHTS
As many of you are aware, NIHC is currently experiencing difficulty with the southern field lighting system. Most of the towers only have a few globes working which is affecting the overall lighting standard for competition games. Unfortunately this is an issue that cannot be solved by simply replacing the affected globes. It is an electrical issue that has been caused by water leaking into the light tower boxes which in turn affects the circuit breakers.
The Board is currently addressing the problem and doing everything possible to ensure that the lights will be working properly on the south field as soon as possible.
Please be aware it is not acceptable for any player, coach, team manager or spectator to abuse the Duty Officers over the south field lights. If you have concerns in relation to this problem, please direct them to: nihcduty@newcastlehockey.com.au or call NIHC during office hours (Mon – Fri, 9am – 4pm).

PRO SHOP (HOCKEY SHOP) OPENING HOURS
Posted: Tuesday, 16th Apr 2013PRO SHOP (HOCKEY SHOP) OPENING HOURS
Although the NIHC’s Pro-Shop can be opened for anyone while the Centre is open, it can sometimes be difficult for Duty Officers during busy hours to open it up, especially for people who only wish to have a look around.
This is why on SATURDAY 20TH APRIL 2013 the Pro-Shop will be open from 11.30am – 2.30pm and manned by a Duty Officer at all times during these hours.
We welcome everyone to come and have a look inside. We have a great range of 2013 stock from brands such as Kookaburra, Grays, Gryphon, ASICS and Mizuno as well as great sales on 2012 stock. There is something for everyone in a variety of price ranges. If we don’t have what you want in stock, we can order it in for you.
We stock hockey sticks, bags, shoes, shinpads, balls, grips, gloves, whistles, etc.
Some people don’t know that NIHC actually have a hockey shop within the building, so if you are unfamiliar as to where our Pro Shop is located simply ask at the canteen and a Duty Officer will direct you on your way. (It’s right down the end of the hall-way towards the back of the building!)
Hope to see you there on Saturday!
NIHC
